A SEVEN WEEK WORKSHOP
Do you ever find yourself craving stability in an unpredictable world? If you’re like me, then you sometimes feel like you’re thrown off balance by forces around you. It could be a coworker that drives you crazy or your significant other that can get under your skin. Or maybe you get a nasty email from a customer and you feel your blood start to boil.
What would it do for you to feel like you had more control and more choices in your life?
Kind of sounds like an infomercial, I know, but there’s a path forward. Just like a computer, your brain has its own software, and you can make it more effective if you take the time to upgrade it.
The key to this upgrade is self-awareness, and taking the time to understand yourself better. If you learn how you allow the world to affect you, you can start taking more control over how you respond to it. Leading a Grounded Life workshop is a highly interactive experience that gives you tools and techniques to ground you and help you feel in control.
Week 1: Mindset
What you believe is your truth – like a fish who doesn’t realize he is swimming in water, your mindsets either cap your success or propel your growth. We start out with practices to create intentional mindsets.
Week 2: Values
If everything is important, then nothing is important. We use multiple lenses to look at the values that are most precious to you and guide you to make the small (or big) changes to bring your life into alignment with your own personal core values.
Week 3: Authentic Leadership Story
We all tell ourselves stories, so the question to ask is: How is my story serving me? We spend time uncovering the story that consciously and subconsciously guides your life today and give you the tools to get your story working for you instead of against you.
Week 4: Exploring Rigidities
Conceptually, we can all understand that we are more effective when we can be flexible in our behavior and modify our behavior to fit the situation. But why is it so hard sometimes? We dig further into subconscious fears to uncover how you can be more flexible and more effective in any situation.
Week 5: Triggers and Boundaries
Whether you call it an “emotional allergy” or a “hot button” – we all have things that can trigger us into less-than-great behavior. We explore how to uncover and unhook those hot-buttons so you can feel more in control (of yourself) all the time.
Week 6: Empathy
Empathy is the source of the truest connection with others, but it is sometimes easier said than done. We explore what empathy really is and how to channel it when it counts the most.
Week 7: Resilience and Stamina
Our goal is never perfection, but we do want you to continually make progress and sustain all that you have done for yourself so far, so we finish off with practical, tangible, daily practices that can help you continue your own journey of self-awareness and self-improvement.
